We are delighted to report the success of our recent Follower Event, which attracted considerable interest from our community. The event had 176 registrants, with 126 attendees participating in a series of informative presentations and stimulating discussions focused on circular economy solutions.
Please have a look at the Presentation (3.5MB) and the Suppliers Videos: CircularAI, CIRRUS, CREVICES, SuperCharge-Beyondly (to come) and VCG)!
A key highlight of the event was the presentation of CE-solution approaches by five selected Suppliers. These Suppliers –CircularAI, CIRRUS, CREVICES, Supercharge-Beyondly, and VCG– presented their innovative CE-solution aimed at promoting circular economy in cities. Each Supplier brought a unique perspective to the table, offering insights into how their solutions can drive the transition towards a circular economy. The audience actively engaged with the presenters, asking insightful questions and contributing to fruitful discussions that explored the potential and implementation of these solutions.
We were also honoured to have Guimarães, a city involved in CircularPSP and in the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI), share their journey with us. They presented an in-depth look at the horizontal challenges they face in implementing circular economy strategies at the municipal level. Their presentation highlighted the complexities and opportunities involved in transforming cities into sustainable, circular systems.
In addition to the Supplier presentations and circular challenges presented by Guimarães, empirica presented the latest developments in our CE Taxonomy for cities. This taxonomy provides a structured framework for understanding and categorising circular economy practices, helping cities and stakeholders identify and implement effective strategies.
We extend our thanks to all the participants, presenters, and attendees for their contributions, making this event a resounding success. Your engagement is crucial as we continue our journey towards a more sustainable and circular future.
