Short update, big help for cities. We have published an updated version of the CircularPSP Circular Economy Taxonomy White Paper Working Group. This release expands the overview of EU legislation relevant to circularity and adds new data sources gathered through our working group, no terminology changes in this round (those were part of the Sept 2024 update).
What’s new in this version:
- Expanded EU legislation overview, including updates to CEAP-related items and other policy instruments referenced by the project.
- Extended data sources for cities, suppliers and followers to use in research, procurement and implementation. The working file now tracks 541 sources (as of July 2025) across categories such as taxonomies & standards, procurement criteria, case studies, business, upskilling and local sources.
Why this matters:
The CircularPSP CE Taxonomy, including the White Paper, underpins our platform work by providing:
- A common framework for terms, data sources and standards so different AI tools do not add confusion but increase clarity.
- Guidance for Suppliers and Cities to apply the taxonomy in training and solution design during CircularPSP.
- Practical routes to find and combine “the right data” for local missions and procurement.
