We are part of the Data-Driven Innovation initiative – creating a regional power-house for collaboration with industry partners. We do this through our partnership of hubs the Bayes Centre, National Robotarium, Edinburgh Futures Institute (EFI), Usher Institute, Easter Bush agritech hub, and Edinburgh International Data Facility. We build on the strengths of the University of Edinburgh’s College of Science and Engineering. Bayes Centre is drawing from world-leading academic excellence in the mathematical, computational, engineering, and natural sciences. Bayes Centre boosts the University’s impact across the city, region, nationally, and internationally. Data science education, tech entrepreneurship, and industrially driven, multidisciplinary research and design are the core pillars of our strategy to achieve our targets through new activity that complements the existing strengths of our community. We have sector expertise in IoT, innovation, data science, natural language and processing, mathematical science, cyber security, robotics, blockchain, super computing, design, AI, and space & satellite.
