MAIN CHALLENGES TO ACHIEVE TARGETS

Citizens engagement and financial support to promote circular economy projects, manage the bridge between procurement and local businesses.

HOW CIRCULAR-PSP HELPS

Purchasing materials, equipment, products, and services with sustainability and a full life cycle in mind helps to buy better quality products, which leads to less frequent waste generation by keeping them in use for longer. Using circular economy principles, reuse can become more acceptable in the procurement process, leading to the desired increase in waste reuse rate. Another way to achieve circularity in the procurement process is to use secondary resources as raw materials, that is, to increase the level of waste recycling. In pursuing the above statements to work in practice, one of the main tasks is to use ITC tools to improve organizational and operational performance. It is expected that the Public Services Platform will become an impulse that will allow the municipality to enter a new, more active phase of the transition to a circular economy.
